We are a small Somerset family business first established in 2021. Vera Rose is eco conscious and Vegan friendly.
We currently offer and make beautifully scented 100% soy wax melts, candles and also fully assessed bath bombs and soap sponges in a variety of scent combinations.All of our bath bombs and soaps are Vegan friendly 🍃, palm oil free 🦧 and packaged in biodegradable film! ♻️ And to add to our eco mission, for EVERY candle we sell, we will plant a tree!

Our core values
At Vera Rose, we are trying to be as green as possible and include the following values:
To be Vegan 🐄 🌱
To use products NOT tested on animals
To use biodegradable or recyclable packaging where possible. ♻️
To reuse packaging where possible.
To be Zero Waste.
Obviously, there will be areas (especially in packaging) where this may not be possible eg. stickers. However all fragrances and wax used IS vegan and NOT tested on animals. 🐇
The soy wax used to make our wax melts and candles burns cleaner than the usual paraffin wax.
Most of the wax melt pots will be recyclable with plastics at the local tip.
Any plastic I have, for example the fragrance bottles, goes to the tip to be recycled (if they can recycle it).
Leftover wax is used here at home and poured into an “emergency candle” or remelted into smaller wax melts for home use.
I also reuse any packaging I already have. For example some of my stock came in bubble wrap, so I reuse this and also use carrier bags that I have to wrap parcels, therefore reducing the need for me to buy plastic sealable bags to wrap them in for postage. Yes this doesn’t always look as nice as the post office grey/ black ones, but I would rather use what I have first before buying more plastic bags that will go out in the environment.
We don’t use glitter.... yes it looks beautiful!! No denying that. However it is not good for the environment. We use recycled crayon shavings (kindly gifted to me by our eldest son who is apparently “Too old” for crayons!), mica powder (a sparkly mineral) for decoration and biodegradable glitter (no plastic!) 🌎
Lastly, our green bubble wrap is eco bubble wrap and is biodegradable. And the brown paper bags for wax melts are also biodegradable.

Hi, I’m Kelly 😃
I have always had a distinct love of craft and creating things, having made candles and bath bombs as gifts for friends and family throughout the years, just because ❤️
During the 2020 lockdown, I , along with many others in the world, suffered massively with my mental health. I needed to find something to distract my mind and rediscover myself again. So I started making bath bombs with my six year old daughter. I liked them, but I wanted to make them better! So I researched and experimented for weeks to get them the way I wanted, and finally, after 2 months, I had it! So the assessment for those bad boys was sent off, and APPROVED 🥳 So now we sell our own unique range of handmade, vegan friendly bath bombs. CPSR approved ⭐️ They are also wrapped in biodegradable film!
Aswell as dabbling with the old sodium bicarbonate, I also was messing around with some candle making kits I had from when I was 11 (I am a hoarder 🤣). This didn’t satisfy my need for creating, so I bought some small kits and since then I haven’t looked back!
Since 2021 we have massively expanded the range of products that we offer 🥳 We have handmade soy wax melts, candles, fully assessed bath bombs and soap sponges. And we also sell reed diffusers and are in the process of coming up with a collection of room sprays ❤️
We have decided to give something back to this wonderful world 🌎 For every candle we sell, we will buy a tree to plant in various Rainforests to help with reforestation. 🌲 Candles are my ultimate end goal 🌹
We use only Soy Wax so there are no nasty paraffin chemicals in our wax 😍 We also like to keep being kind to the environment by using only biodegradable glitter for added sparkle.
